Parent Poll Friday | The Stroll Community Answers Baby Sleep Questions
So we started a thing every Friday! Parent Poll Friday on Instagram
Last week we asked you specifically about your child’s sleep and we have some answers we'd like to share with you about baby sleep habits.
WE ASKED: DID YOUR BABY LIKE SLEEPING WITH A SWADDLE?
You answered: 31 votes for with a swaddle! 32 votes for Nope!
Well, that is as close to a tie as we'll get. Swaddle seems to help some, and not help others!
WE ASKED: IS A WHITE NOISE MACHINE A MUST?
You answered: 40 votes for yes, 27 votes for no
We've never used one, but we might have to try. 40 people saying yes is a pretty remarkable number to say the least. Comment below what your favorite noise machine is!
WE ASKED: BEDTIME ROUTINE OR FLEXIBLE?
You answered: 41 votes for routine, 28 votes for all the flexibility
Molly and I are team flexible for sure, but we have seen how a routine can totally help! What do you do with your child's sleep patterns?
WE ASKED: DOES A GOOD NAP MEAN A GOOD NIGHT OF SLEEP?
You answered: 37 votes for yes, 31 votes for nah.
We agree here for sure, a good nap typically seems to indicate a good night of sleep is ahead. Although it's not the same for Molly and I. Rest is important!
WE ASKED: CO-SLEEPING OR ALWAYS SEPARATED?
You answered: 33 votes for co-sleeping, 39 votes for separate
This one ended up a bit closer than we originally thought, but we are glad to see there are so many different types of parenting! Diversity is a great thing! We support both sides as long as you remain safe and thoughtful!
WE ASKED: DO YOU THINK ROOM TEMPERATURE PLAYS INTO A GOOD NIGHT OF SLEEP?
You answered: 63 votes for of course, 13 votes for not so much
This is a huge difference! So be sure you are taking care of the temp in your rooms, and even use things like a humidifier to help regulate humidity. On the temperature side, we have loved our Nest system for keeping our home temp regulated. They just came out with a new feature for room regulation too so it might be a worthwhile investment in your child's sleep too!
WE ASKED: PJS WITH FOOTIES, OR WITHOUT?
You answered: 51 for with, 24 for without
This was close! Comment below which you use? We do without because Blakey is a warm sleeper!
WE ASKED: BEDTIMES, MORE LIKE 7 OR MORE LIKE 9?
You answered: 34 for more like 7, 35 for more like 9
Which do you do?
WE ASKED: DO PACIFIERS HELP SLEEP?
You answered: 44 for yes, 31 for nah
No pacifiers here as we are 16 months in, but we know they are priceless for some!
WE ASKED: LEVEL OF ROOM DARKNESS?
You answered: 41 votes for totally dark, 31 votes for a little light
It's so hard to get it completely dark isn't it?!
WE ASKED: IF YOU CO-SLEEP DO YOU USE SOMETHING LIKE A DOCKATOT?
You answered: 14 votes for it's a must0have, 39 votes for nah
We didn't use a dockatot with Blake, but we would definitely consider it in the future!

Autumn is on its way, and with that comes molt season for backyard chicken keepers. This natural process causes chickens to lose old feathers for new ones, which is quite essential to health and welfare. While this may be a tough time of year for both the chickens and their caregivers, it is necessary. In this blog post, we'll talk about what to expect during molt season and give tips on how to help your chickens through this process.
